Understanding that travels
beyond one question.

AA rewards more than recalling a rule. A student may know the derivative of a function yet struggle to recognise when calculus will help. Lessons connect notation, graphs and algebra before moving towards mixed questions in which the method is not announced.

At SL, the emphasis is on a secure command of the required ideas and clear, efficient solutions. At HL, lessons build the depth and flexibility needed for more demanding problems. Your exam year and school topic sequence guide the plan; support is not based on a one-size-fits-all checklist.

What we can work on

A focused plan, not a generic checklist.

Number & algebra

Sequences, series, logarithms and algebraic techniques, with attention to restrictions and exact values.

Functions

Domain and range, transformations, equations and the connections between graphs and algebra.

Geometry & trigonometry

Build diagrams, select identities and make each line of a trigonometric argument meaningful.

Statistics & probability

Organise information, choose an appropriate model and interpret numerical results.

Calculus

Connect rates of change and accumulation to differentiation, integration and applications.

HL depth

Work through more demanding arguments and multi-step problems in the topics required for your cohort.

Topic depth and coverage depend on your level, syllabus and examination year. Your school’s current course requirements guide the learning plan.

A glimpse into the approach

From memorising a rule to understanding it

For f(x) = (3x² + 1)⁴, identify the outside power and inside expression first. The chain rule gives f′(x) = 4(3x² + 1)³ × 6x = 24x(3x² + 1)³. Explaining why the factor 6x appears is as important as writing it.

Do you support both AA HL and AA SL?

Yes. Support is tailored to your level, assessment year and current learning needs. Include these details when you enquire.

Can I enquire before committing to lessons?

Yes. The enquiry starts a conversation about your goals, availability and fees. It does not book a lesson or commit you to payment.

Clear thinking. Clearly expressed.

Let’s make your
thinking visible.
