Good teaching starts
with understanding you.
A student who is stuck does not always need more questions. Sometimes they need a different explanation, a clearer representation or the chance to say what is confusing them.
Hitarth’s approach centres on finding that point of difficulty, building the relevant understanding and then helping the student apply it independently. The goal is confident mathematical thinking, supported by clear working and purposeful practice.
Talk to Hitarth ↗Purpose in every part of a lesson.
Concepts before shortcuts
Connect a method to the idea behind it so the technique remains useful when a question changes.
Challenge with support
Break difficult tasks into manageable steps, then gradually build towards independent problem solving.
Feedback with direction
Identify what worked, what needs attention and which action will make the next attempt stronger.
From foundations to advanced study.
Teaching covers IBDP Mathematics AA and AI at both Higher Level and Standard Level, MYP Mathematics, and AS/A Level Mathematics. Lessons are planned around the student’s course, current topics, assessment feedback and goals.
For younger learners, the focus may be number sense, confidence and explaining a pattern. For advanced learners, it may be connecting methods, tackling multi-step problems or improving mathematical precision.

Support is designed to develop the student’s own understanding. For assessed coursework, including an IB mathematical exploration, students remain responsible for their research, analysis and writing. Lessons can help clarify concepts and evaluate reasoning without replacing the student’s work.
