beyond one question.
AS/A Level questions often combine techniques. Lessons focus on recognising those connections: rearranging an expression before differentiating, interpreting a graph before solving an equation, or drawing a force diagram before calculating. Worked examples lead into independent practice with specific feedback.
AS and A Level routes differ between examination boards and syllabus years. Share your board, syllabus code, level, exam date and applied components before lessons are planned. Further Mathematics is a separate qualification and is not included in this course listing.
A focused plan, not a generic checklist.
Algebra & functions
Work confidently with equations, inequalities, transformations and algebraic manipulation.
Trigonometry
Connect graphs, identities and equations while checking intervals and valid solutions.
Calculus
Develop differentiation and integration techniques and apply them to unfamiliar problems.
Sequences & series
Recognise structure, select a formula and explain how the terms and sums relate.
Statistics
Practise probability, distributions and interpretation where included in your chosen route.
Mechanics
Translate physical situations into diagrams, equations and assumptions where required by your syllabus.
Topic depth and coverage depend on your level, syllabus and examination year. Your school’s current course requirements guide the learning plan.
Turn a derivative into a tangent equation
For y = x² + 3x − 4, dy/dx = 2x + 3. At x = 2, the gradient is 7 and y = 6. The tangent therefore satisfies y − 6 = 7(x − 2), giving y = 7x − 8. The derivative gives the gradient; the point fixes the line.
From a derivative to a tangent line
Follow a complete worked example and learn the checks that catch common tangent-equation errors.

How do you match my examination board?
Start by sharing the examination board, syllabus code and exam year. Hitarth can then discuss the topics and components relevant to your route and confirm the support available.
Can I enquire before committing to lessons?
Yes. The enquiry starts a conversation about your goals, availability and fees. It does not book a lesson or commit you to payment.
Let’s make your
